I learned today that smoking your team mates is NOT against the rules on your server. What I mean by this is, I was camping in the train tunnel and this guy B-Smooth[USA] would throw smoke in front of me every time he ran through the tunnel. I complained to admins about it only to be told that they didn't care because it was not against the rules. I was also told to watch my mouth when I called B-Smooth[USA] a lamer noob, so I guess that IS against the rules. Anyway, could you please make it against the rules to intentionally smoke your team mates? I would think it should be a given along with intentional blocking, spec-nading and all that. Thank you.

Tbh, I hate it when people do that as well, cos it reduces the chances of actually getting a kill when coming out from the tunnel cos the smoke is in the way.

Whenever this happens I often just go the other way.

If he was just smoking for cover or because he was using tac goggles, it wouldn't really be an issue for me, he is intentionally throwing smoke in front of team mates because he thinks it's funny I guess or maybe because he doesn't like snipers/campers. I don't know his reasons for doing it, but I specced him for a bit when he was on the blue team and he was doing it to others as well. The ones on the blue team complained to Teddy about it but he didn't do anything either.

Edit: BTW, no he wasn't using tac goggles.

On the topic of rules

Using the nade glitch to kill your own teammates should also be against the rules

The nade glitch is when a player throws a nade at their teammate, and quickly jumps to spec before it goes off, killing them.

I noticed bing00000 doing this yesterday(along with blocking people in spawn), and was even nading his own teammates still in spawn. I asked him to stop, but someone(Jonny?) said this was not tk'ing. I think it is, it is disruptive to your team, and very disrespectful, not to mention he was also technically spawnkilling, which is against your rules.

To note-I've banned a couple people on eVo for pulling that crap.

I try not to use smoke unless it's in an isolated place, ie., somewhere that there aren't a lot of team mates trying to pass. I realize that not everyone uses tacs, and when I am not using them, it's rather annoying.

I don't think it should be a rule per say, but if someone is doing it in their spawn or doing it to others just for kicks as mentioned in the post and they have already been asked to stop, then admins should at least kick.

The only time I use smoke a lot is the rare occasion that I'm playing a CTF server.. for the most part, I think it does more against me than for me.

Why u dont try it , remove one time smoke from the players choice on server.

forbidding smoke is a bad idea..
it's part of the game.
Maybe some of you remember the h2o (later zL*) texas tdm server.
It was a very popular server.. until they decided to forbid smoke.
almost all players left, server died..

oK and kJ clans don't allow smoke on their servers and they do just fine. But yes I agree banning smoke is not the answer.
