| my opinion:
.com is ABSOLUTELY BETTER!!
.net has many bugs, or graphics bugs, looks like someone would spend 10 minutes on making it on some cheap (or i guess free) portal panel...
I mean: i do NOT want to offend the person who made it, i just say that the .net looks like it.
In my opinion we should stick to the .com, and clear the forums totally... i found topics even from march 2010 lol...

| The .net was still under start-up maintenece
but truely it was much better. smoother. hotter. cleaner. and much more easy to naivigate. please use the .net layout jonny!

| Being a webdesigner myself, I have to say that the .net is better even though it has its flaws.
As we all know different browsers don't read the code in the same way and that's what makes the layout mess up in firefox, even though it's working just great in Chrome.
One can also argue that the colors are a bit too dark and that there's almost no contrast between the text and the background on .net. (of course this depends on the gamma and contrast settings of your monitor).
The .net - one is more userfriendly though, it's easy to navigate your way through it and you can find stuff pretty quickly. So is this one once you get used to it, but for a new user .net is better.
There's probably a lot more that can be discussed, but these are my two cents. |

| Yeah you can get dirt cheap hosting but it's not always great... I used to use a company that did a deal for £19.99 a YEAR (yup, a year") including a free domain name. It was alright but there was a bit of downtime and they were slow to sort problems out. But you get what you pay for I guess... The major beef I had with them was when they made it difficult to transfer my domain name out... lots of fees and waiting and phone calls :/ As for the sites... I think the .net was a bit cleaner. Can't say I'm a huge fan of phpBB though, always used SMF for my previous forum adventures  Then again, it's all about ease of use and how you skin it. I'm interested to know why there are two domain names though? |
